OpenStreetMap (OSM for short) is a free (i.e. open data) mapping project with several million contributors around the world.
In Toulouse, the OpenStreetMap community organizes various types of events:
Monthly meetups at Artilect featuring open discussions, help with contributing, and presentations on tools, uses of OSM data, and user experiences.
Open house for the general public at the José Cabanis multimedia library one Saturday a month: project overview, educational sessions, and an introduction to collaborative mapping
Cartoparties: field trips for a day of data collection and outdoor mapping.
Our events are free and open to everyone. Feel free to come meet us—we’d love to chat with you and answer your questions.
We announce events on the French-language OSM forum, in the Toulouse local group section.
